Howdy, friends. The Cowboy 75 is an all-purpose dome, broadcasting its signal in a 360-degree radius. It’ll get those signal problems sorted out in a jiffy.

The Cowboy 75 kinda looks like a cowboy hat, hence the name. The ridiculous “75” at the end of its name comes from it being 75 Ohms, as opposed to its 50-ohm cousin. 75 Ohm cable is weaker, but easier to install in places like homes. You might see it hanging from a ceiling in an office somewhere, its most common use case. These are ceiling-mounted and particularly suited for drop-tile ceilings.

The Cowboy 75 is a great option for wide-open rooms and homes, but can be installed anywhere, including hallways and small rooms.

The Cowboy is an ultra-high quality dome antenna for broadcasting cellular signal and is the ideal accessory for your 75-ohm cell phone signal booster system, providing boost gain at the end point by up to 5.1 dB.

The Cowboy 75 dome antenna works with all cell phone signal boosters (weBoost, WilsonPro), and cellular hotspots (TP Link, Huawei, Netgear, D-Link etc).

You have questions. We have answers.

When Should I Buy the Cowboy 75?

The Cowboy 75 is an omnidirectional dome antenna meant to be placed on a ceiling. The Cowboy is a Low-PIM, wideband indoor antenna with low return loss and very stable performance designed to take your cellular booster system to the next level. It has several advantages over its cousin, The Board panel antenna.

First, it broadcasts in every direction, ensuring everything in its range is covered. Second, its placement on a low or drop ceiling means it will work in large, wide-open rooms very well. It is somewhat harder to install than the Board, but it is even more discreet and wide ranging.

Bear in mind that The Cowboy 5G is a 75 Ohm antenna with an N-Female termination, meaning it works best with 75 Ohm cable and N-Male termination.

How Many Indoor Antennas Should I Buy?

Indoor antennas effectively expand your antenna coverage, so buying more with a powerful system makes a lot of sense. The specific number is something you’ll need to figure out yourself – but here are some relevant questions to ask:

  • Is my outside signal weak? Weak outdoor signal makes it harder to add more antennas to a system.
  • Where do I most need enhanced cellular? Is it more than one place? Are these places near each other? If yes, getting another antenna is a no-brainer.

What Kinds of Signal Does the Cowboy 75 Broadcast? What Radio Bandwidths?

The Cowboy 75 broadcasts any signal between the 698-2700 MHz bandwidths. That includes all 4G/LTE/3G/2G cellular signal. as well as 5G. This covers all African mobile networks including Ghana (MTN, Vodafone, Airtel, Tigo and Busay), Botswana (Bemobile, Mascom, Orange), Namibia (MTC, tn Mobile), Zambia (MTN, Airtel, Zamtel) and far more.

However, all this is dependent on what your donor antenna(s) is capturing. While The Cowboy 75 does increase gain at point of broadcast, it cannot create high-quality or strong signal on its own. If you’re only capturing one or two bandwidths, those are what The Cowboy will broadcast.

What Does dB Mean? What About Gain?

dB refers to the power gain of the antenna, and the higher the number, the more powerful the antenna. As dB is measured on a logarithmic scale, every +3 dB represents a doubling of the power gain.

Will the Cowboy 75 Work with My Mobile Network?

The Cowboy 75 will work on any African or US carrier, as well as most cellular carriers worldwide. If you are not sure your country’s carrier will work with The Cowboy, verify whether your service falls within the 698-2700 MHz bandwidth, and if so, it will work.
